Can I get pregnant after a reversal if my husband has rare non-motile sperm?
The semen is composed of fluid from the seminal vesicles, prostate and sperm. Sperm comprise the smallest fraction of fluid (5%). The fluids are continuously produced regardless of whether or not a man ejaculates. Prolonged periods of anejaculation can cause the fluid from these organs to accumulate. If a man is predisposed to inflammation in the prostate this can give the appearance of small beads in the ejaculate. More frequent ejaculation and treatment with anti-inflammatories and/or antibiotics can be helpful.
